Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our apps distributed through the Apple App Store.

1. Data we collect and how we use it

Different apps from us collect different categories of data depending on the features you use. The categories below describe the maximum scope across our apps; an individual app only collects what is required for its features.

• Audio recordings. Captured by your device's microphone only when you actively start a recording or voice interaction inside the app. Used to transcribe what you said and, where applicable, send your spoken request to an AI service so the app can respond.
• Transcripts and text prompts. The text version of your voice input, plus any text you type into a prompt or chat field. Used to generate the app's response and, where the app supports conversation history, to display past interactions back to you on your device.
• Images and photos. Only the specific images you select in the app (for example, when you choose an avatar). Used solely for the in-app purpose for which you selected them.
• Purchase and subscription information. Provided by Apple's StoreKit when you make a purchase. We receive a transaction identifier and subscription status; we do not receive your payment details.
• Locally stored preferences. App settings, language choice, and (where applicable) the API key you choose to provide for a third-party AI service. These are stored on your device — preferences in the system defaults store and API keys in the iOS Keychain. They are not transmitted to us.
• Diagnostics. Crash logs and aggregated, non-identifying performance data, only if you have enabled this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

We do not collect your name, email address, contact list, precise location, or device identifiers used for advertising. We do not sell your data and we do not use your data to train any machine learning model.

2. AI features and third-party AI providers

Some of our apps include features powered by third-party artificial intelligence services. Where an app offers such a feature, the app's in-app description and a consent prompt will tell you which provider is being used before any of your data is sent.

Depending on the app and the provider you select, the following data may be transmitted directly from your device to one or more of these providers:

• Audio recordings you create in the app
• Transcripts of your audio
• Text prompts you type
• Conversation history needed to give the AI context for its reply

The third-party AI services we may transmit this data to are:

• OpenAI, L.L.C. — speech-to-text, language model, and text-to-speech APIs. See OpenAI's privacy policy at https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy and their API data usage policy at https://openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies.
• Anthropic, PBC — language model APIs (Claude). See Anthropic's privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Where an app supports a "bring-your-own-key" model — meaning you supply your own API key for the AI provider — your data is sent directly from your device to that provider under your own account with them, and your usage is governed by your agreement with that provider.

We have reviewed each of these providers' published policies and require, by virtue of using their APIs under their commercial terms, that they provide protections for your data that are equivalent to those described in this policy. Per the policies linked above, these providers do not use API inputs or outputs to train their models by default.

3. Your choices and how to delete data

• You can stop the app from using AI features at any time by removing the API key in the app's settings (where applicable) or by declining the consent prompt the first time it appears.
• You can delete all conversation history and recordings stored on your device from within the app's settings.
• You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data, including any saved API key in the Keychain.
• To request deletion of any data we hold about you, contact us at the address below.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Payments are processed by Apple, not by us directly. We may receive subscription status and transaction metadata necessary to provide paid features and customer support.

5. Children

Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention

We retain locally stored app data for as long as the app is installed on your device. Purchase records associated with your Apple ID are retained as required by Apple and applicable tax law. We do not maintain server-side accounts or profiles for you.

7. Security

API keys you provide are stored in the iOS Keychain, which is encrypted by the operating system. Network requests to third-party AI providers are made over HTTPS.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected in the in-app consent flow on next launch.
